Watch the Mount of Olives

Zechariah wrote, “And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west…” (Zechariah 14:4, KJV).
That is a clear biblical marker tied to the Lord's return — not a headline we invent. A recent Last Days clip returned to that picture: a splitting of the Mount of Olives, and a reminder to watch without pretending we know the day. Even the speaker said he did not know whether what he saw was near or further on. That humility is the right posture.
Acts 1:11-12 also ties Jesus' return to the Mount of Olives. So we watch Israel and Jerusalem with open Bibles, not with panic and not with date-setting.
What we can do
- Read Zechariah 14 and Acts 1 for yourself.
- Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6) and for people there to know Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.
- Refuse date-setting. “But of that day and hour knoweth no man…” (Matthew 24:36, KJV).
- Stay ready — oil in the lamp, love for people, hands busy with the work He gave you.
