Pray over where you live
Here's something simple we can all do: pray over where we live.
Every street we drive down has families on it, businesses trying to make it, and people carrying things nobody else can see. Most of us pass by a hundred of those stories a day without a thought. A short prayer as we pass takes nothing away from our day, and it changes how we see the people around us.
Scripture tells us to “seek the peace of the city… and pray unto the LORD for it” (Jeremiah 29:7). That's a practical place to start.
Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, is the center of my life, and I don't want faith to stay inside a building or on a screen. So here's the invitation. When you pass a school, pray for the kids and teachers inside. When you pass a business, pray for the owner and the people who work there. When you pass a home, pray for the family. Start with your own street, and see where it goes.
