Light shaking darkness: my take on Joseph Z's word

This is my take on a live stream by Joseph Z: “SHAKING OF THE CENTURY IS HERE!!” (September 29, 2026). The prophetic words and predictions are his. The reflections are mine. Disclaimer: This post is for entertainment purposes only. The predictions and prophetic words in it are Joseph Z’s opinion, not mine, and not a statement of fact.

Joseph Z went live on September 29, 2026 with a stream he called “Shaking of the Century Is Here.” Here's what Joseph Z said, as best I can tell from the stream, and what I take from it. The words and predictions below are his, not mine. What's mine is how I'm choosing to respond.

What Joseph Z said

He opened with a word he said came to him while he was praying early that morning: “America will shake.” He said he saw two shakings coming to the nation, one and then another after it. He tied much of it to the coming midterm elections, to news stories and to public figures. I've listed every one of his predictions below, in his words, so we can test them over time. I don't set dates myself, and this isn't me taking a political side.

The spiritual point is what I want to hold on to. Joseph Z said he heard the Lord say, “I am not done with America.” He said he's praying the shaking doesn't tip toward darkness, but toward “light shaking darkness.” And he told his viewers not to fixate on the bad news: “Do not look at the darkness. Look at the light and grow in your faith.”

He was clear that he doesn't feel “doom or gloom.” He said he believes God's design in the shaking is that darkness will “hit its knees.” He said he believes we're getting toward the end of the age and that Jesus could return at any moment. Later in the same stream he said he doesn't feel the end is now, and that he senses we have more time.

He also talked about Iran. He said he loves the people of Iran, that many there are crying out for liberty and for revival, and that he's been praying against a nuclear act of desperation. He said he believes we'll see revival meetings in Iran.

Near the end, the stream turned personal. Joseph Z said most people want two things: to be heard and to be understood. He described a habit he uses with his family and staff: repeat back what the other person said and ask whether you got it right. He said the Lord told him we need “education with revelation,” knowing things and knowing God. And he prayed against fear, saying the way out of fear is understanding how much Jesus loves you.

These are Joseph Z's words, not mine. I'm listing them so we can test them over time.

I've transcribed each one from the stream and checked the wording against the audio. Where a word was hard to make out, I've marked it unclear. Each time links to that moment in the video. Listing them isn't endorsing them.

1. 0:00:09 “I saw the words, “America will shake.” And my sense was drawn… towards the midterms. I heard America will shake, or I will once again shake America. And it's towards the midterms and what comes after.”
2. 0:00:25 “I actually saw two shakings that are going to unfold, I believe, going into the midterms and then following the midterms, that the Lord is absolutely going to not allow the 2030 agenda to manifest and take place.”
3. 0:01:26 “Agenda 2030 is something that I believe that is being dismantled, at least in this hemisphere… the Western Hemisphere.”
4. 0:02:06 “I see a silver lining, a miracle. And once more light will shine in darkness.”
5. 0:03:01 “There is a massive argument to be made that the nefarious, underhanded changing of what people's desire is when they cast it is going to be held fast.” (About voting machines. What he means by “held fast” is unclear.)
6. 0:03:42 “I believe there's going to be a confrontation of this. I believe much is coming out. I believe Ilhan Omar, some of the issues going around all these players, there's more coming out about it.” (The auto-captions spell the name “Ilan Omar.”)
7. 0:04:19 “If this miracle holds and we pray into this and we stand… I believe what we're gonna see is a surprise, a miracle, a miracle midterms, and the Lord will bring us through.”
8. 0:04:29 “If we see even a partial victory halfway through this… we will have the wicked elite on their heels for the next two years and even potentially beyond.”
9. 0:05:32 “I see agents that are talking right now… agents of change, but really what they are is they have an [unclear] … they have a prophetic voice to hinge pin authorities. And part of the conversation is going to be a domino effect that leads to no nukes.” (One word is unclear: the captions read “icarian”; the audio sounds like “Issacharian.” He tied this to his concern about Iran.)
10. 0:07:01 “The Lord is intervening, and there's going to be words that are given that begin to bring wisdom and strength even to how the midterms go.”
11. 0:07:15 “For I am sending in my reformers. I am sending in voices. They're being heard even today, even right now at this very moment.” (Spoken as the Lord's words.)
12. 0:07:27 “I am visiting JD Vance. I hear this in the spirit. I am visiting JD Vance. There is an intersection of clarity… and a voice coming right to him.” (He said it feels like it's happening now but may unfold over time.)
13. 0:08:10 “I am confronting the [unclear] narrative. I'm confronting many of the oppressors, and there is coming a torment to the tormentors.” (The name is unclear: the captions read “Torico”; the audio sounds like “Talarico.”)
14. 0:08:27 “I even see the confrontation over the water, the water war, and the exposure of it is going to bring about clarity.” (He didn't say which water conflict he meant. Unclear.)
15. 0:08:48 “I see a woman rising, and she represents a brand, and the brand that she has represented has given her the platform to speak, and now will step into areas of influence.” (He didn't name her.)
16. 0:09:35 “I am not done with America. I am not done with this. And I believe that there is coming a monumental shaking, this shaking before the midterms.”
17. 0:09:55 “Something could take place where the president takes an action right before the midterms go into full swing… There will be an action.” (He didn't say what the action would be.)
18. 0:10:14 “There's going to be good news as we fight tragedy.”
19. 0:10:20 “On the other side of the midterms… going towards January… I believe there's another shaking… The shaking, I believe, is going to be a wake-up call. It's going to be a movement.”
20. 0:11:12 “And then these next two years, I hear the words… finishing what was started.”
21. 0:12:29 “The shaking is coming… and an announcement will come from Bessent, and the announcement that will come will say, “We are winning.”” (Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. The auto-captions spell it “Besset.”)
22. 0:14:10 “They're gonna make some big announcements coming into this next year.” (About the Noah's Ark dig team led by his friend Andrew Jones at the Durupinar site.)
23. 0:17:59 “There's a shaking. And I believe it's the shaking of the century that will lead us into this next scenario, this next walk that God's called us to go in.”
24. 0:19:06 “We could indeed see a midterm surprise, because… there's less mechanism of evil towards the apparatuses people use to cast their choice.”
25. 0:25:52 “I believe there's a stronger collision happening… God is shaking America. America will shake.”
26. 0:26:15 “I saw two shakings. I saw it happening in the midterms, and then I saw another one coming, but I don't feel doom or gloom.”

29. 0:30:05 “Should we get through this, and I believe we will, I believe we will see revival meetings in Iran.”
30. 0:33:25 “We begin to see something shake right before we go into midterms, we could have a surprise upset where the liberals don't like it.”
31. 0:37:01 “I believe that it's going to get stronger and stronger for us to break through. It is not the will of God that we lose this nation.”
32. 0:41:04 “I believe the Lord is going to make darkness, one more time, hit its knees.”
33. 0:41:37 “I believe the shaking in God's design is that darkness will hit its knees… I do believe we're getting to the end of the age. I believe… Jesus could return right now.”
34. 1:01:00 “There is coming a great strength. I believe there's a rising up of this generation… I don't feel like the end is now. I feel like we've got more time… we're gonna be talking about this many years from now, that we stood during this time.”
35. 1:01:22 “For the sake of the righteous and for the sake of His church, there's an intervention that's happening. I believe we're seeing it in real time.”
36. 1:04:05 “I see some things coming that I'm not able to release just yet.” (He didn't say what they are.)

What I take from it

I take prophecy seriously, and I test it. Scripture tells us to do both.

“Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:20-21)

Joseph Z himself said that some of what he sees unfolds over time. So I'm not going to build my week around a forecast. I'm going to build it around what Scripture already says about shaking.

“…Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken… that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace…” (Hebrews 12:26-28)

That gives me peace. Whatever shakes, the kingdom of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, doesn't.

The Marines taught me that when things get loud, you don't freeze and you don't panic. You check your gear, check on the people next to you and do the next right thing. I think that's how a Christian should meet a shaking too.

And I agree with him about where to look. Darkness is real, but it doesn't get the last word.

“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” (John 1:5)

A word for the tech side of me

One moment in the stream stuck with me because of my own work. Joseph Z's co-host said a lot of young people feel AI is being pushed so hard that their originality and their voice are being taken from them, and that many are pushing back.

I've spent a long time in technology, and I'm building a company run by AI agents. I believe AI will change the world. But I think she's onto something. A tool that takes your voice costs you more than it saves. Let AI carry the load. Keep your own voice, your own thinking and your own prayers.

Joseph Z's phrase “education with revelation” fits here too. Information is cheap now. Wisdom still comes from God.

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” (James 1:5)

What we can do

• Pray for the nation and for those in authority. Not as a team sport. As intercession. “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
• Pray for peace, and for the people of Iran. “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” (Matthew 5:9)
• Test what you hear. That includes this post, Joseph Z's stream and anything that trends. Hold it up to the Word and keep what's good.
• Watch, and don't set dates. “Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.” (Mark 13:33). “But of that day and hour knoweth no man…” (Matthew 24:36)
• Refuse fear. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7). “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear…” (1 John 4:18)
• Be ready, spiritually and practically. Get right with God today. Then do the ordinary, wise things for your household: a little set aside, food and water on hand and a plan your family knows. Not because of any one prediction, but because that's wisdom in any season. “A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.” (Proverbs 22:3)
• Listen to understand. Try Joseph Z's habit this week: repeat back what someone said and ask if you got it right. “…let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.” (James 1:19)
• Keep your own voice. Use the tools. Don't let them do your thinking or your praying.

I don't know exactly what's coming, and I won't pretend I do. I know who holds it. If things shake, let's be the people who are already praying, already awake and already shining.
